If the FCDO declines to issue an apostille on a document we reviewed and accepted, we resubmit it free of charge or refund our service fee for that document.

That is the whole guarantee, and we honour it without argument. Two things it does not cover, so you are not surprised later: it does not cover the FCDO’s own fee, because the FCDO’s refund rules decide that, and it does not cover the decision of any foreign authority, employer or university, because only they can tell you what they will accept.

It applies when you sent the correct, genuine document and we accepted it for submission. It does not apply where a document is fraudulent, altered or inherently ineligible, or where we advised against submission and you asked us to proceed anyway.

If a signature query holds up your document, we tell you your options the same day and submit any replacement at no extra service charge.
