Three simple steps — we handle the rest.

Place your order and send your document: Order online, then post it to our London office or drop it off in person. We’ll confirm when it arrives.

We check your document and arrange the apostille:
We check your document before submission and, if solicitor certification is needed, arrange this for you. We then submit it to the FCDO for the apostille.
3

Receive your apostilled document: Once it’s complete, we’ll let you know right away and return it via the delivery method you selected—or you can collect it from our office.

Total turnaround: 3–4 working days once your order has started.
If the FCDO needs additional verification, processing can occasionally take longer. We’ll let you know if this affects your order.

By post — We recommend Royal Mail Special Delivery for original documents so your envelope is tracked from you to our London office.

Drop off in person — Bring your document to our Westminster office, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm. No appointment is needed.

Our service guarantee

We check every document before submitting it to the FCDO. If we review and accept your document for submission and the FCDO then declines to issue the apostille, we’ll resubmit it at no additional service charge or refund our service fee for that document.

What the guarantee covers:

Documents we have reviewed and accepted for FCDO submission
FCDO rejection where the document was submitted through the service we recommended
Free resubmission if a replacement document is needed following an FCDO signature or seal query

What it doesn’t cover:

Incorrect, altered, fraudulent or inherently ineligible documents
A document submitted against our advice
Third-party fees already incurred, including FCDO fees
Acceptance by an overseas authority, employer, university or other receiving organisation

Is the Standard Apostille service right for me?

Choose Standard if you have 3–4 working days and would prefer our lower-cost apostille service. If you need your document sooner, our Next-Day Apostille service starts from £97 per document

What’s the difference between Standard and Next-Day Apostille?

The main differences are turnaround time and price. Standard takes 3–4 working days and starts from £87 per document. Next-Day starts from £97 per document and is designed for customers who need their apostille completed sooner.

Both services include our document checks, FCDO apostille processing and your choice of return delivery or collection.

Does my document need solicitor certification before it can be apostilled?

Some documents can be submitted directly to the FCDO, while others must first be certified by a UK solicitor or notary whose signature the FCDO can recognise.

You don’t need to work this out yourself — our online order system will guide you to the correct option based on your document.

Do I need to send the original document?

It depends on the document.

Official documents such as UK birth, marriage and death certificates, ACRO Police Certificates and DBS certificates normally need to be submitted as originals.

Many other documents, including degrees, passports and business documents, can often be apostilled as appropriately certified copies.

If you’re unsure, use our online order system or send us the document for a free review before ordering.

My document is already certified. Do I still need the certification option?

Not necessarily.

If a UK FCDO-registered solicitor or notary has already correctly certified your document and the FCDO can accept their signature, you may only need the £87 Standard Apostille service.

If you’re unsure whether the existing certification is suitable, send us a copy, and we can check it before you order.

When does the 3–4 working day turnaround start?

The turnaround starts once we have everything needed to begin your order — including your document, confirmed order details and payment.

Most straightforward Standard Apostille orders are completed within 3–4 working days after we start the order. If the FCDO needs additional verification, we’ll let you know.

Can I upgrade from Standard to Next-Day after I’ve ordered?

Usually, yes— as long as we haven’t already submitted your document to the FCDO.

Contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll confirm whether the upgrade is still available and arrange any price difference.

Can I track the progress of my order?

Yes. We’ll confirm when your document arrives and keep you updated as your order progresses. We’ll also let you know as soon as your completed document is ready for collection or dispatch.

If you have any questions during the process, our team is available by phone or email during office hours.

Can I use the Standard Apostille service for documents going to any country?

The Standard service can be used for UK documents requiring a Hague Apostille.

For countries that require additional embassy or consular legalisation, an apostille may be only one stage of the process. Our online order system will identify the appropriate route based on the destination country you select.

Can I place an order on behalf of someone else?

Yes. You can order for a family member, client, employee or colleague. You can also return the completed document to a different address, including an international address.
