If your ACCA is a Membership Certificate with the Red Embossed Seal - we must receive the original – no copies or e-Apostille can be issued for membership certificates.

All other ACCA certificates, copies can be legalised if certified by an FCDO-registered solicitor or notary.

A UK solicitor can only certify a copy after confirming it came straight from the issuer. Please email us one of these proofs so we can verify it without delay:

• Confirmation email from the issuer—the authority or author emails the document to us (or cc’s us) and states it is genuine.
• Portal evidence: Give the solicitor view-only access or share a short video or screen share showing the file inside the official online account (e.g., university portal, HR system, banking, or HMRC site).
• Screen recording of download—record yourself logging in and downloading the document from the original source.

The solicitor can not certify a copy if none of these are supplied.

Originals and certified copies of your Certificate of Free Sale can be apostilled. If you're providing a PDF copy, we'll need proof of its origin, like an email from the issuer.

Important for some countries (e.g., Saudi Arabia): Your certificate might also need further attestation by the Arab & London Chambers of Commerce. If this is required for your destination, please contact us before ordering a specific quote and turnaround estimate. This ensures efficient processing for your fast apostille service.

For the most straightforward apostille, please provide the original hard copy of the certificate sent by HMRC that bears their wet ink signature.

If you only have the digital PDF version emailed by HMRC, this can also be processed. It first requires certification by a UK solicitor as a true copy. Before proceeding with a digital version, please verify that the overseas authority will accept an apostille on a solicitor-certified copy of the digital HMRC certificate.

Please ensure you send the original Certificate of Good Standing, as officially issued and certified by Companies House, bearing the official wet ink signature. This physical document must be posted or delivered to us in person.

For legalisation, we need your original, wet-ink signed Certificate of Incumbency.

If you provide a copy (e.g., PDF or photocopy), it can only be processed if the person who issued the original (e.g., company director, accountant) emails us directly from their official email address.

This email must attach the copy in question and clearly state that it is a genuine copy of the original Certificate of Incumbency. We need this verification email to proceed with a copy.

You can provide the original statement for an apostille, ensuring it's signed and stamped by the issuing accountant or department.

If you have a PDF (digital) version, that's also an option. The issuing person or business must email us to verify its authenticity so our solicitor/notary can certify it for the apostille.

The original DVLA document is usually required for the apostille, particularly for use in countries like Italy. The apostille is typically attached to a solicitor's cover sheet accompanying your original V5C/form. Therefore, please send us the original document.

In some instances, an apostilled certified copy might be accepted overseas. If the receiving authority confirms this, we would need to make a copy of your original document.

Need embassy attestation? If your invoice requires attestation by an embassy in London (after apostille), it's crucial to CONTACT US FIRST before placing your order. We'll provide specific guidance.

Apostille only? Please send us the invoice for an apostille without embassy attestation (PDF is fine). The issuing business must email our solicitor or notary to verify its authenticity.

For a straightforward apostille, signatures should ideally be witnessed by a UK solicitor or notary.

If not, the contract can usually be processed if its authenticity is verified via email by the main signing parties (e.g., company directors). This email proof allows our solicitor to certify your contract for legalisation. Please ensure you send the original signed document.

We can apostille your Certificate of Origin in a few ways:

(1) Your original certificate can be processed directly.
(2) Our solicitor can create a certified copy if you provide the original.
(3) An official Certificate of Origin issued and certified by a Chamber of Commerce can also be apostilled directly.
4) An e-apostille – please confirm that the overseas authority accepts this digital format.

To get your Certificate of Naturalisation apostilled, please deliver or send us the original physical document – photocopies you've made are not suitable for this process.

Our solicitor will then create an exact, certified photocopy from your original, and it's this solicitor-certified copy that receives the apostille. Your original certificate will be returned to you.

ID documents – original required for certification (unless pre-certified).

Passports, UK or international driving licences, and government ID cards are apostilled as solicitor-certified copies.

If your ID is not yet certified:

• Send or bring the original to our office by 09:30 am.
• Our solicitor makes a photocopy, certifies it as a true likeness
• The signed copy—not the original—goes to the FCDO for the apostille.
• Your original ID is returned to you by secure courier or made available for collection.

If an FCDO-registered solicitor or notary has already certified your ID:
We can send that signed copy straight to the FCDO, so you don’t need to provide the physical ID again.

Scans, photos, or uncertified photocopies cannot be legalised on their own.

Send the original document for processing (no extra proof needed).

IF using a digital copy/PDF, the solicitor must verify its authenticity.

Have you already signed it? If witnessed (but not by an FCDO-registered individual), our solicitors can often counter-certify it. This isn't ideal and is not always accepted by the overseas authorities.

Do you need your signature witnessed? We can arrange a signing with a solicitor we work with to ensure FCDO compliance. Please send the original, wet-ink signed document.

Usually, our solicitor downloads and certifies your document(s) from the Companies House website for apostille. For this, just provide the company number/link in 'Order Comments' or by email.

If you have a document already officially certified by Companies House, please send us that original.

An original typically has a wet ink signature, official stamp, embossment, watermark, etc. 

If you're using a digital copy/PDF that requires solicitor certification, we must first verify it’s genuinely from the issuer (e.g., your bank, council, utility provider).

Please email us ONE of these proofs:

(1) An email from the issuer directly to us (or cc'ing us) confirming authenticity;

(2) Evidence from their official online portal (e.g., view-only access to your online banking, a short video, or screen share of your utility account);

(3) A screen recording of you downloading it from the official source. A copy can't be solicitor-certified without one of these proofs.

Whether you provide the translator's original wet-ink signed document or a PDF version, the following is essential:

The translator must email our solicitor/notary, attaching the translation and confirming it is their authentic work. This verification enables the certification needed for the apostille

To legalise your Grant of Probate, we must receive the original UK government-issued document, complete with its official holographic seal (or sticker). This specific version is essential for the apostille.

If you have an original document issued by the MOD or an official copy certified by the MOD: We can send this directly to the FCDO for an apostille. (£97)

If you have a photocopy of a military document, our solicitor or notary must verify and certify it (£135)

If certified/notarised by an FCDO-registered UK solicitor or notary: Please send us the original document bearing their wet ink signature and seal. We can then proceed to get the apostille.

If the solicitor/notary is not FCDO-registered, the document must be re-certified by an FCDO-registered solicitor. Please contact us BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER for guidance on this. 

If your document (e.g., Animal Health Certificate, Export Health Certificate) is signed by a UK Official Veterinarian (OV), the FCDO can often apostille their signature directly.

Other supporting vet documents (like a regular vet's vaccination record or unsigned test results) must be certified by our solicitor or notary first (e.g., as a true copy, or verifying a signature/declaration) before an apostille can be issued.

Please provide the original Will if available; our solicitor usually makes a certified copy of this for an apostille.

If only a copy of the Will exists, it must be verified as a true and genuine copy by the original witness (e.g., the solicitor or authority who attended the signing). Please arrange for this verification to be provided via email.
