Trusted by thousands of individuals, law firms, and businesses. Don’t take our word for it — here’s what our clients say.

How our apostille process works

Three simple steps — we handle everything in between.

  • 1

Step 1 — Place your order and send your document
Order online, then post your document to our Westminster office or drop it off in person. Include your order number so we can match it immediately on arrival. If you’re posting, use Royal Mail Special Delivery to ensure it arrives safely and is tracked.

  • 2

Step 2 — We check, certify, and submit to the FCDO
We check your document as soon as it arrives. If it needs solicitor certification before it can go to the FCDO, we handle that in-house on the same day. We then hand-deliver your document to the FCDO Legalisation Office — no postal queues, no delays.

  • 3

Step 3 — Receive your apostilled document
Once the FCDO has attached the apostille, we email you a free scanned copy and return the original by your chosen method — Royal Mail Special Delivery, DHL Express, London bike courier, or collection from our office from 3:30 pm.

Total turnaround: 3-4 working days from receipt of your document. If FCDO needs to verify a new signature, processing may take one additional day — we’ll notify you immediately if this applies.

Sending and receiving your documents

Sending your document to us

You have two options:

Post — Send your document by Royal Mail Special Delivery to our Westminster office. This gives you proof of postage, next-day guaranteed delivery, and up to £200 compensation cover. Do not use standard first class — untracked post is not recommended for original documents.

Drop off in person — Visit our office at 1st Floor, 3 Orchard Place, London SW1H 0BF, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. No appointment needed, though a quick heads-up is appreciated.

Receiving your document back

Once your apostille is ready, choose the return method that suits you:

  • Collect in person — from our London office from 3:30 pm on the day of completion
  • Royal Mail Special Delivery — secure next-day UK delivery with tracking
  • DHL Express Courier — fast tracked delivery, including international shipping
  • Bike Courier — same-day London delivery (London addresses only)

Let us know your preferred return method when you place your order.

One thing included as standard:
We email you a free scanned copy of your apostilled document as soon as it’s ready — at no extra charge. Competitors typically charge £15–25 for this.

FAQs

If your deadline is more than a week away, the standard service is almost always the right choice. It gives us enough time to handle certification if your document needs it, check everything carefully before submission, and return your document securely — without the premium cost of the next-day service. If you’re unsure whether your timeline is tight enough to need express, contact us and we’ll advise honestly.
The process is identical — same FCDO submission, same document checks, same return options. The only differences are turnaround time and price. Standard is £87 per document; next-day is £97. If your deadline allows it, standard is the better value choice. Both services include a free digital scan and unlimited support.
Yes, in most cases — provided your document hasn’t already been submitted to the FCDO. Contact us as soon as possible and we’ll confirm whether an upgrade is still possible and arrange the price difference. Once FCDO submission has begun we cannot change the service level.

No. If your document has already been certified by a UK FCDO-registered solicitor or notary public before you send it to us, you only need the standard £87 apostille service. The £120 option is for documents that arrive uncertified and need us to arrange certification before FCDO submission.

Yes. We’ll confirm receipt of your document by email, notify you when it has been submitted to the FCDO, and contact you again when it’s ready for collection or dispatch. If you have a question at any point, you can reach us by phone or email during office hours — you’ll always speak to a member of the team, not a call centre.
The apostille itself is accepted in all 127 Hague Convention member countries. If your document is going to a country that hasn’t signed the Hague Convention — such as the UAE, Qatar, or Egypt — you’ll need embassy attestation in addition to the apostille. We offer this as a combined service. Check with your receiving authority before ordering, or contact us and we’ll confirm the correct route for your destination.
Older documents and those from less common issuing authorities can sometimes require additional verification by the FCDO before the apostille is issued. This typically adds 1-2 working days. We’ll identify any potential issues when your document arrives and contact you immediately — the standard 3-4 day turnaround assumes straightforward verification.
Yes. You can order and submit documents on behalf of a family member, client, or colleague. We’ll return the apostilled document to whichever address you specify — including international addresses. Just include clear instructions with your order and confirm the return address when you place it.

Our service guarantee

Our standard apostille service is backed by a full FCDO acceptance guarantee. If your document is rejected by the FCDO due to an error on our part, we will refund your fee in full or resubmit the document at no additional cost — whichever you prefer.

We check every document before submission. If we spot a problem that would cause rejection — an unregistered signatory, a condition issue, or a certification requirement we weren’t notified of — we’ll contact you before submitting, not after.

What the guarantee covers:

  • FCDO rejection due to an error in our handling or submission
  • Incorrect routing — if we submit via the wrong channel for your document type
  • Certification errors where we arranged the solicitor certification

What the guarantee does not cover:

  • Documents submitted with incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client
  • Rejection caused by a signatory whose signature is not registered on the FCDO database and cannot be verified — we will notify you if this applies before submission
  • Documents that have been altered, damaged, or do not meet FCDO condition requirements
