Legalisation requirements for Vietnam
- UK documents require an apostille stamp from the FCDO to be valid in Vietnam. After apostille legalisation, the documents need embassy attestation in London for authentication and use in Vietnam.
- A photocopy of the apostilled document must be submitted to the Consulate, along with the signed application form by the applicant or their agent.

- Foreign documents are accepted if they meet FCDO’s apostille policy.
- Payment is by cash only.
- Consulate hours are 9:30 am – 1 pm, Monday to Thursday. Closed on Fridays.

Vietnam processing times
Our standard attestation service takes approximately 7-8 business days.
That includes 2-3 working days for the apostille process and 3-4 working days for the embassy attestation.
We also offer express service which is completed in 3 business days.
This includes same-day apostille service and expedited embassy service.
The exact turnaround time depends on courier transit and embassy processing workload.
Turnaround times do not include return shipping.
DHL Express takes 24 hours UK and most main European cities.
DHL international 2-3 days or longer.
