For a UK-issued document to be valid in Viet Nam, it must go through a two-step legalisation:
- 1UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) apostille (or the Irish DFA / Jersey, Guernsey, or the Isle of Man for documents issued there).
- 2Embassy of Viet Nam in London consular attestation.
For documents from a UK Overseas Territory – Anguilla, Bermuda, BVI, Cayman, Gibraltar, Turks & Caicos – first obtain the territory’s own apostille, then the UK FCDO apostille, and finally the Vietnamese attestation.
